Getting it right
- Use the shortest link you can. Fewer characters means fewer modules, which makes the code far easier to scan from a distance.
- Always include https:// — a bare domain still works on most phones, but a full address is scanned correctly by older readers too.
- Add UTM parameters if you want to see the scans in your analytics, for example ?utm_source=poster.

Does this URL QR code ever expire?
No. The address is encoded in the pattern itself, so the code keeps working for as long as your page exists. There is no account, no redirect service and nothing to renew.
Can I change the link later?
Not on a static code — the link is baked into the pattern. If you need to edit the destination after printing, point the code at a page on your own site and change the redirect there.
How long can the URL be?
Technically up to about 2,900 characters, but anything over roughly 80 characters starts producing a dense code. Keep links short for reliable scanning.
